New Orleans Police are asking for the public’s assistance with locating two suspects wanted for vehicle burglary, access device fraud, and hit-and-run driving.
Wanted are Demella Walker (pictured left), a Black female and Derneca Walker (pictured right), a Black female.
All persons are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
According to investigators, on April 28, 2025, Demella Walker and Derneca Walker were involved in a minor traffic accident at the intersection of Palmyra and South White Streets.
The wanted suspects demanded that the victim give them money as compensation for the accident. The victim refused and instead opted to wait for law enforcement to document the accident. The suspects opened the victim’s car door and stole property before fleeing the scene in their vehicle.
A warrant for their arrests is on file.
