New Orleans Police are asking the public’s assistance with locating a missing person.
Missing is Brett Melancon (pictured), White male, DOB 04/10/1986, height 5′ 8″, and weight 220 pounds.
According to investigators, Brett Melancon was involved in a traffic accident in Jefferson and was transported to a hospital in New Orleans for treatment.
Around 3:47 a.m. on April 1, 2025, Brett Melancon contacted relatives and advised he was being released from the hospital.
However, he has not been seen or heard from since then.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Brett Melancon is asked to call all First District detectives at 504-658-6010.
