New Orleans Police are asking for the public’s assistance with locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm.
Wanted is Charles William Matthews (pictured), Black male. His last known address was in Slidell, LA.
Charles William Matthews is considered armed and dangerous. Citizens should not approach him and should call the police instead.
According to investigators, around 7:45 p.m. on May 10, 2025, in the 1500 block of Socrates Street, Charles William Matthews threatened the two victims with a handgun and also committed a simple battery before fleeing.
