School Superintendent Matthew D. Constant Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Sexual Exploitation of Children

An Owensboro man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for numerous child sexual exploitation offences.

U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky, Acting Special Agent in Charge Olivia Olson of the FBI Louisville Field Office, and Commissioner Phillip Burnett, Jr. of the Kentucky State Police made the announcement.

According to court documents, Matthew D. Constant, 53, a former school superintendent, was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison followed by a life term of supervised release for two counts of online enticement of a minor, three counts of receipt of child sexual abuse material, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and two counts of transferring obscene material to a minor.

There is no parole in the federal system.

The FBI Owensboro and the Kentucky State Police investigated this case.
