U.S. Marshals Director Ronald Davis Visits Dominican Republic, Honours DNCD President José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa

With more than 38 years of service in law enforcement, the current director of the oldest federal agency, the Marshals of the United States of America, Mr. Ronald L. Davis, visited Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa at the headquarters of the National Drug Control Directorate on Wednesday, January 8 of this year.

Accompanied by Deputy Director Melissa Hyatt, Deputy Chief Sheriff Cristopher Barther, Deputy Deputy Director Jacob Green, Deputy Chief Michael Oliver, Executive Staff Officer Cody Johnson, Regional Attaché Silvestre del Rosario, Deputy Attaché Ulises Alday and Supervisor Sasha Zacarias toured the renovated DNCD facility.

In a pleasant atmosphere and exchange of ideas, Director Ronald L. Davis congratulated the work of the Dominican Republic in the last 4 years for the hard work of capture and subsequent extradition of fugitives, which fills with joy many American families who have long waited for justice, gradually climbing from the 10th position it was in 2020, to number 2 reached in the past year 2024.

At the meeting, the Marshals authorities presented a special plaque of recognition to Vice Admiral Cabrera Ulloa “in recognition of his valuable partnership with the United States Marshals Service to promote public safety, security and justice” and congratulated the work done in the country’s anti-narcotics Unit for breaking records in seizures last year 2024 with more than 44 tons of different narcotics.

With this recent visit by the U.S. authorities, the president of the DNCD reaffirmed the unwavering commitment to the fight against drug trafficking and organised crime.

With the “unconditional” support of President Luis Abinader Corona and the attorney general’s Office, DNCD has made some achievements and is committed to jointly continue to lash this scourge that has not and will not have a truce to establish itself in the country.
