A 31-year-old Toronto man, Michael Morkowski, has been charged with assaulting an officer following an incident on December 29, 2024. According to the Toronto Police Service, the incident occurred in the Roncesvalles Avenue and Queen Street West area at approximately 11:39 a.m.
The victim, a Parking Enforcement Officer, was conducting enforcement in the area when the accused allegedly grabbed the officer’s baseball cap and forcefully removed it from their head.
The suspect fled the scene but was later located and arrested.
Morkowski is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. to face charges of assault of a peace officer/public officer.
