U.S. Marshals Captures Fugitive Theodore Jaymes in Minnesota Attempted Murder

Fugitive Theodore Jaymes has been captured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jaymes was captured on Wednesday.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office charged Jaymes with second-degree attempted murder.

These charges stem from a shooting incident that took place on the Light Rail Train near Western and University Avenues in St. Paul, Minnesota. As a result of this shooting, a female passenger was struck multiple times in the leg.

The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force received a request from the U.S. Marshals Office in St. Paul, Minnesota, and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office asked for assistance locating and apprehending Jaymes.

Through their investigation, the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force developed information that Jaymes may be staying in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh.

On December 11, 2024, the U.S. Marshals Task Force members arrested Jaymes without incident at the 5400 block of Baywood Street in the City of Pittsburgh.

The arrest of this fugitive is the direct result of the cooperative investigative efforts between U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, the Allegheny County Police Department, the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, said a statement by the USM.
